Unit 10 final blog

Professor and Class,
Review your unit 3 personal assessment of your psychological, physical, and spiritual well-being. Reflect on these areas . How did you score yourself on a scale from 1 to 10 in unit 3? How do you score yourself now? Has the score changed? Why or why not?

I scored a 5 on physical, spirtual 8 and psychological 7 and Now I score myself physical still a 5 however i am working on it everything I try anyways , Spiritual is an 8 I try for my self everyday to either listen to some sort of meditation music there are days where I listen to it all day it makes my outlook on life a whole more postive.In one area my score stayed about the Same however there has been improvement through this class has made look at my inner self.


Review the goals and activities you set for yourself in each area. Have you made progress toward the goals? Explain

Physical goal is try to go either walking or hiking everyday I have improved about walking in the last week I have went walking 4 times in the last week
Psychological I am working in how I see myself to make myself happy 
Spiritual- I have made some improvements where i am either taking a nature walk or listening meditation music that occurs daily It has made a improvement with my overall health 


Have you implemented the activities you chose for your well-being in each of the three areas? Explain

Yes I have by walking that gives me some time for myself and helps to improve my body image and my spiritual is being improved worked on daily with listening to my meditation music that helps soothes and relax me also helps me deal with stress, stuff that I have no control such my step daughter throwing a tantrum I think before I act and I started meditate when she throws a tantrum she doesn't like that i did that yesterday she decided to punch my knee I laughed inside about that.

Summarize your personal experience throughout this course. Have you developed improved well-being? What has been rewarding? What has been difficult? How will this experience improve your ability to assist others?


my experience with this class has made me think not just of my outer self but my inner self I need to do things to make myself happy. I am pushing my self to mediate that calms my inner self and help me deal with situations that can be stressful. When I listen to oceans waves it makes me think of childhood  of going to beach and walking through the waves as they crash against my legs. Some of the audio meditations the person who would be talking would  make want to sleep however there are some many types of meditation we have figure out what works for us no one is the same. When I have time and money I want to get meditation , yoga and tai chi DVDs so I can do it at home to help relax and destress me. I have started reading different books on meditation and self healing.Also when this class is done I am going to continue to blog to use as my virtual journal if anyone wants to continue to read I would love to have some feedback  to help me to keep focused on want I want to do for goals for myself, I want for me to feel good about not just my body image, improve my spirituality and self healing.     Thanks for the early posting. I like that you’re walking to improve your health and give yourself thinking time. Exercise is the best medicine and walking, biking, or swimming I think are the best to improve your body image the most effectively. Listening to your meditation music is brilliant on your part has it well bring calm even in a stormy situation with a stepdaughter. One day I hope that the step will be dropped for you and her and she will become a daughter, even if her mom is still around. I have stepfamily but my step dad became my official dad in my heart after spending several years and allowing me to be a teen and still keeping me close when I pushed away. Young kids do this, then there is a calm period of several years say 7 to 12 then the storm begins again, teen years, but slows down once they hit their 20’s. So my best advice is to hang in there and show love has much has you can. Love breaks down barriers and you may find one day your daughter runs to you for comfort, time heals all so know things well improve.

    Sounds like you are taking steps in the right direction towards achieving your goals! This class has helped me to see that our innerself is just as important as our outerself when it comes to self image, and the two are closely linked. I have also made it a priority to meditate each day in an effort to reduce stress and all that daily life brings. I wish you all the best in your personal and professional goals and will be sure to follow your blog!
